I've already made one comment on the Chris O'Leary band and this is one shit hot band. This is more along the line of an A/B comparison comment. ( I thought long and hard about whether to do this ). Mathew Perry has a very good band, he's a great guitarist as well as.the band's lead vocalist and here's the rub. Perry's voice is in the high tenor range. Perfect for backup, coleads and especially harmony vocals. But as the single lead vocalist, the high tenor is a problem. Chris O'Leary's voice is in a lower register. When he fills his lungs with oxygen and belts out his vocals the difference between the two is abundantly clear. The average( non musician ) person's who go to a venue like the "Biscuit"" to see live music are responding primarily to great vocal work;and often don't realize it. I'm just pointing out the difference between two acts that you datflys people have seen and the enormous difference a lead vocalist can make. O'Leary and band have a host of other fine attributes, too numerous to mention here. I would not be at all surprised to see them picked up by. Someone like Robert Cray or Big Head Todd as a show opener sometime over the course of the coming year. Let's see!?! 1:36:34 1:36:35

This act is excellent and should be seen by a large number of people. Unfortunately the economics of touring a full 6 peice band today is very difficult on a domestic basis, never mind Australia. ( where they would be well received.) Best of luck to them.

Holy shit that was insane , i already missed the original band before I was even born so these are as equal as good and they are carrying some Lynyrd blood thanks to Artymus, one of the bests and a heavy duty drummer!

For awhile now I've been meaning to comment on the fact that I have never once seen an artist performing with an acoustic guitar at the Funky Biscuit. Not once. I thought it somewhat odd and then along comes Anders Osbourn. Great performance, and with an acoustic guitar off all things!!!
